Ok, so I need to make a decision here. Smith & Wesson 10mm stainless model 1006 for $600, Smith & Wesson 686P .357 Magnum 6 inch for $650, or Browning Hi-Power MKIII 9mm for $625. I like all three but what one should I get first?

Voted for the 686. But I'd be hard pressed to pass up the BHP. Fact is I have a BHP already, and recently fell back in love with revos. The 686 is somewhere down the list (unless I find a steal). And I'm always looking for a match to my BHP.

That's a tough call, all three would make fine additions to any collection. My pick would be for the BHP.

I'd go with the 357. I would probably rather have the BHP but I have a complex about buying used auto's, a lot of autos get sold/traded because of reliability issues and I don't want to get a lemon, so I generally buy all my auto's new. And hey, it is impossible to go wrong with a 357, especially a 6in.

It would be a tough choice for me also but I voted Browning as I've just been a fan of Browning for a while.

What role is the gun to serve?

You couldn't go wrong with any of them, but I'd probably side with the 10mm just because they're getting harder and harder to find.
