Texas state representative, Suzanna Gratia-Hupp, whose parents were killed by an insane gunman while her gun was out in the car, gives very moving and bold testimony about the REAL reason that the second amendment was designed to protect our God-given right to keep and bear arms.

With all due respect to Rep. Gratia-Hupp, whom I admire for having the courage to provide that testimony, and acknowledging that I greatly value being able to carry a firearm to defend myself and my family, it's important to recognize that the 2nd was intended to ensure that we would be able to protect ourselves from the government, not from individuals among us who would do us harm - the latter is only an additional benefit.

Oh - that's good to know and thanks for the clarification. I did watch most of the video and she seemed to be talking only about self defense, so I guess the rest of it must have come towards the end. Good for her. I'll have to go back and watch the whole thing.

What do you intend to do with this video?

How are you going to put it to use?

If you don't have a plan of some sort, why are we talking about this?

my hope is that this video would be forwarded and many links to this and other forums circulated. i put this vid on @ least 8 other forums, same intention. activism is getting others informed & involved, no??

You are correct, it is about getting others involved and informed.

The problem is, you forgot to add what we should be getting involved in.

For instance - we all know that the 2A is important and worth fighting for, but we can't fight without a battle plan. Now, this video is fantastic, and Mrs. Hupp continues to do a great job raising awareness for our side, but posting and re-posting the video (which isn't exactly fresh) doesn't really constitute a "plan of action".
