My bedside 380 is loaded with handloaded XTPs. I am not gonna worry about legality issues if an armed intruder enters my home.

We all know about the handload vs factory load debate. I feel that there are plenty of other threads where it can be discussed.

I'm carrying the Hornady American Gunner 380 XTP loading in my Ruger LCP Custom. Its 100% reliable feeding in my gun plus its accurate and relatively inexpensive so it doesn't break the bank shooting a few mags every time I hit the range.

I'm comfortable that the XTP bullet is a very good compromise between expansion and penetration.

Yes at that price you can practice with your carry ammo. I have shot over 500 rounds of it and have had no problems.
