Why not just remove the clip?I carried a TRS EDC, a survival knife for a few years, and found it the handiest knife I've ever owned. Got it for free. https://www.amazon.com/TRS-Tactical...TF8&qid=1528379137&sr=8-3&keywords=TRS+knives
But, it ended up wearing out too many pairs of pants with the clip, so I just went back to my old reliable Leatherman Micra, which was the handiest until the EDC came along.
Knife's a bit too big for pocket carry if it's not held high. For my tastes anyway. Why not just remove the clip?
I carry folding knives, Buck USA.View attachment 795922
Buck is pretty easy to beat in terms of modern folders. The Marksman is their best modern design and it has a borderline dangerously weak bias toward closure. Any company that says disassembly voids warranty is a big no for me - I don't buy knives from companies that restrict my ability to clean and maintain my tools. Other companies have much broader portfolios of better designed and executed modern folders. It is hard to beat Buck. Recently, my son took his Marksman apart to give it a good cleaning, and he could not get it back together as the bearings kept falling out. He sent it to Buck for repair, and a couple weeks later got a mildly chastising letter about how taking his Buck apart voids the warranty. A few days later, a brand new knife arrived as a replacement. No charge.
