Some, not all of the Japanese MGs were "clip" fed. (The collectors would probably tell you that all the "interesting" one were, though [].) The Type 92 started life using long (40-50cm?) loading strips, but was later belt fed.I suppose the various Japanese machine guns were clip fed. Was this carried to any post war designs?
The Type 96 used a "Bren style" top mounted magazine.
Now, the Type 11 was spiffy. It actually used rifle strippers (5 rounds?) that were piled in a hopper. It turns out that an open topped hopper feeding rounds to an oiler is not horrible on the Mongolian steppe, but less than ideal in jungle terrain.
