What was your first firearm purchase?

~mine was a XD40 service. The rest of my firearms were all gifts. I am a lucky guy I guess.

I bought a Ruger P89 a long time ago as my first handgun. I had a small crop of rifles and shotguns gifted to me, but got excited as the prospect of a decent auto for less than $300

My first firearm purchase was a Remington 870 to hunt ducks. My first firearms were, a Mossberg 410, a Western Field 22, and a Colt Trooper Mk III in 22lr. Those were all gifts.

My second firearms purchase was a Jennings 9mm. I learned a whole lot from that one. My second purchase was a Llama 45 to replace said POJ Jennings. The Llama was reliable but not very accurate. It got replaced by an FEG GKK in 45. That one was very reliable. My fourth firearms purchase was an EAA Witness, which I still own.

My 1911.
Long enough ago that my father had to do the paperwork so I could buy it.
Yes, I still have it:)

My first purchase was a Ruger 10/22 that I bought about '91 or '92. I have it still and have fired many many thousands of rounds through it (most likely over 100,000). My only big change to it is the polymer recoil buffer I put in years ago. No springs, no pins, no nothing changed other than that.

The first handgun I bought was actually a Thomson/Center Encore in .454 Casull. I still have that, too. Although my wife bought her Sig P220 before I bought the Encore.

That New Haven 600a is also called the "Country Squire" isn't it? Basically a no-frills Model 500 right? I once owned a New Haven version of the Mossberg 800. It was a good, solid rifle.

Glock 17, along with two regular-capacity magazines. The '94 AWB motivated me to get off my duff and start buying stuff the "authorities" didn't want me to have.

The first I bought myself was a Browning BAR in .270 about 10 years ago, had a number of firearms before that but they were all gifts.

My wife and I purchased our first firearms a couple years ago. A Glock 22 for me, a S&W M&P .40 for her, and a S&W 686 Plus just 'cause ;) Bought all 3 at the same time.

My first gun purchase was a Ruger 10/22. I paid $100 for it new. I've enjoyed many hours of squirrel hunting with it and put many thousands of rounds through it. My dad had to fill out the paper work since I was only around 14. My first handgun was a Browning Hi Power 9mm. I was in college then and only about 19 so my dad had to fill out the paperwork for that one as well. I still have both of them and still love shooting them.

My first firearm purchase was a colt HBAR II sporter in 1995. I still have it, although I have changed a few things on it. It is also still my favorite gun in the safe.
