Winchester single shot .22 Model 67A, sixth birthday 1956.

Still with me, worn but good.

First was a Ruger 10/22, and I still have it. If I had it to do over again, I'd have picked up a bolt action .22 and put a decent scope on it; but the 10/22 was and still is a very reliable piece. I expect I'll own this gun until one of my kids inherits it.:neener:

My first was a Remington 870 wingmaster, my father gave it to my Christmas 1995 I was 15. 2 years later someone broke into my truck and took it. Damnit I miss that gun, took a lot of dove with it.

my first gun i got when i was 8, Glenfield Model 25
First gun i bought when i was 14, Winchester Model 1400 with winchokes
traded it for my first bow, it was unreliable unless it was kept extremely clean

My cousin and I shared an old J.C. Higgins .22LR bolt action. We got pretty good at shooting rabbits with the iron sights, no scope for us. I have a rifle just like it now. All the blueing is gone and the stock is beat. But, it still shoots just fine.

But, my favorite gun as a kid was a 20 guage semiauto. I don't know what make it was. It had a 3 round box magazine, and a variable choke. I took a lot of quail with that shotgun.

My first gun was an H&R Topper in .410, a gift from my Dad when I was about 11 or 12. I still have it, and I'm 60 now.
The first one that I purchased was a Smith M1917 .45. The dealer through in a cardboard box containg about 200 or so rounds of old military ammo, and the whole thing, with an old holster with the flap cut off, cost me less than $100, though I don't remember the exact price. I don't have that one anymore, but I did replace it with another one. Great fun, both of them!

Maverick 88

bought it at 11pm on my way home from work as a chef. Wally World impulse buy. Funny thing is, I was wearing a bloody chef coat at the time. Still sometimes wonder what the clerk thought.

Taurus 85, bought it about 20 years ago; wife got me a lovely pair of Hogue wood grips and it's now my car gun ... still accurate, still functions as designed, never had a problem ...

First Handgun, Ruger Redhawk in .44 Mag. Bought new in the early eighties.

First Rifle, .22 semi auto. Sears IIRC. Given to me.

First Shotgun, Remington Mohawk 48 20ga. Bought new in '71 or '72.

First given........Winchester M37 single- barrreled 16ga shotgun (by my late dad in 1958 at age 13) Still have it. First bought.....somekinda .32 semi auto when I was 16 or 17 for $25. (Things were different back then). I wish I had all that have passed between! :banghead:

What was the first gun you ever bought.
That would be my Remington Model Seven (.308), and yes, I still have it. It now wears an H.S. Precision sporter stock and a Leupold 2-7X compact scope. And although I have others, it's my "go to" hunting rifle.

First handgun I purchased was a Browning Buckmark Plus; still have and shoot it regularly.

First gun ever owned is a Mossberg 500 combo given to me by my wife ... and yes, I still have that one, too.

Hate to admit it but my first purchased gun was a .25 Titan. Carried it in my boot when I drove to Panama in '76. Next purchase (32 yrs later) was a Ruger GP100.

First 2 guns were a Ruger Security Six and a Ruger 10/22. Still have the 10/22, wish I had the Security Six. I was "too cool" for revolvers when I was younger. STOOOOPID!

My first purchase was a mossberg 500 12ga. I had it for a year or so before someone broke into my apartment and stole it. Along with my FNP-9, ruger GP-100, Ruger 10-22, and mosin m9130. They took the whole cabinet. The small fie safe I had was stolen too. I enjoyed the shotgun while I had it. I got myself a few squirrels with it. But I LOVED that FNP! I am still pretty angry about losing that one. I guess I should calm down though. I replaced the shotgun with a Remington 870, bought another gp100, got a s&w mp9, and a kimber pro crimson carry. I also got one of the talo 10/22s. It sure is pretty. Has a nice french walnut stock.

Revelation single shot 410 at the age of 12. Still have it. Still use it. Great gun to carry when hunting those cottontails.

First gun ever and first shotgun:Mossberg 500
First handgun:Taurus 24/7 Pro 45ACP
First Rifle:Olympic AR-15

The Mossberg was about 3 1/2 years ago, 24/7 a little over a year ago, and new ones seem to be appearing at a geometric rate. I think I have a disease.

Harrington & Richardson single shot 410 shotgun. Bout it when I was 12, roughly 32 years ago for like $50. I just recently shot the slug shells I bought for my first deer hunt, never got the chance to shoot them at a deer..... as I got a Marlin 30-30 the next year. Great little gun, would eject the empty shells a good 10 feet or more.

My first gun was a Glock 17. I've owned that pistol for 4 years now and it's still my favourite pistol. It worked flawlessly for about 10k rounds so far.

My first rifle was an FN FAL para. Still own that one too.

LH 870 Remington 870 Wingmaster in 20 ga. It was my 11th birthday present. Still sitting in the gun closet but wearing a new stock and forearm. I use it now for skeet shooting and some for doves.
