Savage 24, 20 guage under a 22win mag. great squirrel gun. but after a while, i wanted to shoot more than just squirrels.

A wnichester 9422 with the fancy wood, still got it and still shoot it, nice little rifle it is to bad winchester isn't making them anymore.

When I was 14 (I think) some 41 years ago, I bought a used Stevens single shot 16 ga. shotgun. That thing not only had a really bad hair trigger, but it had a nylon stock and kicked like a mule. I had a black and blue arm until I bought a recoil pad for it. I sold it 2 or 3 years later.

When I was 13 I took a street car downtown & purchased a Savage model 22/410
22 over 410 shotgun which my brother lost ( drunk) in the woods & I made him give me his Marlin 39A 22 lever action----I was a happy camper--:):)

Mine were a 1964 Ruger Single Six .22/.22Mag, and a Remington R700 .243 that were my dads. My stepmom still has a shotgun of his that I am trying to get off her, but she lives alone in the woods of Idaho, so she probably still needs it. I'll get it someday, I know. Got them about 6 years ago or so. Now my collection has grown.

Glenfield Model 60, which I still have. Grew up in a firearm free household, and I went and bought it on my 18th birthday as my present to myself. The beginning of a long and satisfying hobby!

Mossberg .22LR Model 142A bolt action with hinged fore-end. 1950 or 51. It was a present from father who sent me off to the local police for training (try that today).

First purchased, a Webley Mk 4 .38 S&W, 1963, soon traded for a Steyr 1918 9mm which I still regret.

Aside from air pistols and rifles, my first actual firearm was a Glock 17. I've still got it and pull it out to use at the range fairly often as the ammo is fairly cheap for centerfire.

A Remington 597, its a love/hate relationship. The clips jam like crazy, but with all the memories i just cant get rid of it.

First gun I bought that was truly my own. Savage 64 .22LR
Still have it, still shoot it. Need to buy more mags for it though.

no, I take that back, the Savage was my second gun.

My 1st was the Maverick 88 12 guage. Sitting right next to me in fact.
