What Year is my EIG Navy?

Hey Everyone! I was just wondering if anyone could help me identify what year my EIG Navy 36cal black powder Revolver is. on the bottom of the gun it has what im guessing is the serial #, it is 263XX . and i was just looking around the net and found a site that said part marking XXIV (wich is on the right side below the wheel on my EIG Navy) means it was made in 1968. is that correct or do the numbers on the bottom of the gun tell something else?

If you were looking at Dennis Adler's Guide to Proofmarks then XXIV (1968) it is.

Yea thats what i was looking at. Ok cool so then it is a 1968. I have seen some on auction boards for around $100 is that about right?

If you can get it for $100 you better snatch it up. The EIG revolvers have a great deal of potential as a collectable. They haven't been produced for many years and have an interesting history as a victim of ATF persecution which put them out of business. Inventory was acquired then by FIE.
