What's everyone's age and shooting experience?

22 been shooting for 2 years, first gun fired was a Ruger p89 9mm and first gun bought was a Mosin that I forget I own since it stays on my wall as cheap deco. Born into a pro, but non practicing 2A family until I started shooting.

Im 16, and shot 22lr rifle at around 10, competition oriented shooting, never really got into it though.

I'm 55 and have been shooting ever since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. The first "real" handgun that I shot was a 1911. I believe it was either a 9mm or .38 Super. My uncle knows for sure.

By age 18, I owned a .22 Sears Roebuck Marlin bolt action, a Winchester 12 gauge 370, a Revelation 20 gauge, a 6.5 Carcano with a folding bayonet, and a Winchester-made M1 carbine.
Heck, being from the South, I never knew anyone who was anti-gun/anti-hunting until I was almost a teenager.

I'm 19 and have been shooting "real" guns since I was 8, started with my dad's .22 Marlin tube fed semi-auto, which we still have and use for those pesky ground squirrels.

Started on the .22, shot .243 WIN for deer at 13, carried .357 Mag around our cabin in Montana (at least, damn grizzlies, mountain lions, etc), joined the Army in April 06, been shooting at least once a month since, "open carrying" an M4 for the last 11.

Getting my CCW through WhitePony's ingenious idea upon return to North Carolina.

Carry on.

I am 25. I started shooting at age 10. Summer camps back then actually encouraged kids to learn how to shoot .22. Highly doubt they would do anything like that now.

I currently own a Norinco SKS (bought it already modified for higher capacity; wish it had been in original shape), Mosin M44 carbine, and a CZ-82 pistol.

I'm 22 and have been shooting for two months. I shot three thousand rounds of .22lr in a month, then I started a new job and haven't had a chance to go since. ***!

I shot a gun for the first time when I was ten, and didn't shoot one again until two months ago.

22. I've been shooting since I was 10 or 11. My gun club had a junior rifle program where I learned to shoot .22s. Then I was lucky enough to go to a high school with a rifle team.
I didn't shoot for maybe 4 or 5 years, then got back into it when I turned 21 and applied for my pistol permit. I'm still quite inexperienced with handguns, but familiarity with long guns seemed to come back to me fairly naturally.

I'm in my early 40's and first went shooting about 20 years ago when my now DH borrowed his mom's .22 rifle and took me can plinking as a date.

In college some of my male friends had Crossman Soft Air guns of the sort that you had to load the little pellet into a plastic casing. I learned marksmanship shooting the Luger replica at a piece of notebook paper pinned to a pillow across the length of a dorm room.

Early in our marriage DH and I would go to an indoor range to rent guns and shoot a box of ammo as a cheap date, but for over 10 years we didn't have access to a range closer than an hour's drive so we didn't do any shooting.

Now that we've moved to a place near a club/range handy we're getting into it more seriously than ever as an affordable (after initial investment), family activity. After a number of months of classes, research, and gun borrowing I will be taking my new Mark III Hunter to the range tonight so we can get to know each other (double date with DH and his new M&P).

55....I've been shooting for a fair amount of time.
I got my first firearm at age 12, a Savage 22/410 over-under.

i'm 53 and i didn't shoot a real gun until about 30 years ago when i got my first .357 magnum... it was a s&w mod 13-2 4"...... since i've learned to reload, cast bullets, and shoot a 1022 custom pretty well..... just aquired a never fired ruger mkII stainless target model so i'm kinda wanting to try it out soon....... oh.. i've gotten pretty good at shooting an rws mod 34 air rifle lately.........

Was 9 when I started shooting. I'll be 73 in October. Learned to shoot right handed in the Army. Oh, I did quit well left handed with a Garand, Carbine and M14. It's when we transitioned to the M16 I learned to shoot right handed. I'd switch sides as needed. Dominant eye switched back and forth too.

47, got my first gun when I was 7. Cheap single shot, (Liberty Arms), 410. I still own it and my now grown kids along with other kids learned to shoot with this thing. I have had it black oxide coated, shortened, bored and rechoked the barrel over the years but it's still fun to shoot. Now have 2 grandkids that I hope will go out shooting it with me when they get a bit older.

i was about 7 or 8 years old when i start shooting soda cans with my uncle pellet guns hehehe... when i was about now i'm 24 and i have shot a lot of weapons and i still love to pull the trigger

to be continued...

24 years old here, started shooting when I was 10 or so. Received my first rifle at 13 (Given to me by my father, in a box, in pieces.) It is a Savage Stevens 22/.410 O/U. (Don't actually know the model number" but I know it was the first O/U made with a synthetic stock (Basically plastic.) Still have it and it still shoots.

I am 24. My parents did not own guns (lately they are actually quite anti), but they always let me go shooting with my friend's parents. Been shooting 22lr since I was 8-10, but only once or twice a year -- but that was enough to teach me gun safety! The first thing I ever shot bigger than that was a friends .300 win mag my freshman year of college. Shot my friends Glock (.45 cal, dunno which model) a couple years later and he is the one that really got me interested in gun ownership. About a year ago I got my CCW and bought my XD 45, which is now never more than arms length away. In the past year I have also bought a Mosin Nagant M91/30, Remington 870, Kel Tec P3AT (for the new wife). We now go shooting at least once a month.

28 and shooting since I was probably around 7 or 8. Parents weren't really "big" into guns, but did let me have my ole Faithful Red Rider...never shot my eye out though! Now I am 28 and have 35 guns...pistols, rifles, shotguns, even black powder!

50. Been behind a trigger since around 4 or 5 when Dad started teaching me with his Savage model 5. Liked 'em ever since.
Lots of .22, a little bit of scattergun, BP, informal bench rest with .308. Few others mixed in too. Reload and tinker.

Started shooting at 9 years old. 38 years old now. Parents say all hell broke loose when i turned 18. i guess they may be right. As i started buying every rifle and shotgun i could.. Then when i turned 21 wow. Now i have 2 safes completely full. One at my parents house and one at mine. Now my kids are shooting. hahaha i have a 9 year old son that has been shooting for 2 years. His favorite gun. Win 94 30-30. Of course we load with only 6 grains trailboss.

I'm 73. Bought a .22 with berry picking money when 12. Twenty years Marine Corps. Korea vet (1950's), Vietnam vet ('67/'68). Started with M1 Garand, then M-14, ended up with .45 auto. Shot bullseye competition during and after USMC. Coyote calling starting 1962 using .243 Win. Deer hunting with .30-06. Have Browning over/under 12 gauge( rabbits, quail, & dove). Casting my bullets since 1969 (.30,.38/357Mag, .44Spl/.44Mag, .45ACP, .45-70). Shoot but not cast .303 British, 8MM Lebel, .44 caliber black powder revolver (1858 Rem. new army) and .50 caliber black powder rifle (TC Hawken). It's been a good life.

Twenty one.

Started shooting Civil War pistols and rifles since I was 10 years old. I also own and shoot modern guns too, but I am more attracted to the aroma of black powder:)
