Alright, I've consolidated some of my guns into reloading equipment and am now limited to some showcase guns that don't get fired, my carry/shooting piece (glock 26) and a range toy (Ruger Vaquero) ...
Here's the BUT ...
I *love* my absurdly fun and comically amazing Ruger Vaquero so much, I am lusting after a second range toy. The point is that it would have to be large. Very large. And fire a very large caliber. And it should be nothing like a Vaquero but still a handgun, meaning I'd like a semi-auto. Unless I'm missing some sort of major category in handguns here.

What is the biggest available semi-auto around? I don't care how rare it is, as long as it's affordable. I have time on this one and don't need it anytime soon. I am essentially looking for a large semi-auto that gives me the feeling, if not the experience of hearing the slide rack after I fire a round, it's so slow. Something powerful and comical in the hands of a 70 inch .. 185 pound guy.

What's out there?

Actually ... good call.
A used .44 magnum would probably fit the bill. I imagine the .50 AE would probably be more expensive.
