I see everyone recommending all these different kinds and I was wondering what's the best one. I know Breakfree CLP is the most widely used, but it seems most people dont consider it the best CLP.

Thanks!

There is no best. Everyone will have a different opinion and a slightly different way of cleaning their firearms. At the end of the day, there are tons of products that will all work just fine, so long as you do your part in maintaining the firearm.

Well said! One can go to Midway to find reviews on a ton of products.

I was skeptical about Ballistol the first time I seen it on a hickok45 video, the stuff is pretty awesome. I bought several bottles of it and just use it in a spray bottle, I got the non aresol kind. The stuff does work. easy to clean with, removes everything, doesnt smell to crazy, safe and actually good for wood, and is non toxic. What else could I ask for? Well I could ask for it to be available at more places, but I order from midway often and the 6 bottles I've ordered seams like it will last me a long time. That said, I do lube all pistols with cheap wheel bearing grease. I bought a pound of that stuff and it will probably last me a lifetime. Dont get crazy with lubes and cleaners. they're all pretty good. Some mall ninja probably will chime in saying you have to use a gun grease for guns, well where do you think all that grease for your guns come from? The gun only grease maker? nope, it dont!

Like bubba.. I also use Balistol but on my black powder guns mostly. I prefer Breakfree CLP which is also sold under others names. Now CLP comes in two different colored cans one black and one white. Both work about the same but the white is a different formula and non toxic while the black can be a bit harder on some grips usually synthetic.

Gunzilla is hands down the best.

I'm a Ballistol convert also. I like it for gun "internals" the Ballistol does a great job of cleaning and leaves a lubricating and protective film.
That said, my barrels will always get cleaned with Hoppe's #9 and rails get a dab of Shooters Edge "All Weather" red grease.

Do you guys think Hoppes #9 + Ballistol is required? I dont mind buying the Hoppes, but every cent i save is awesome since I decided to spend a lot on the gun lol.

Not necessarily. Now, let the flaming begin, but sometimes (in a pinch) I use Windex on my bore. Why? Key word: Ammonia.

I shoot so much lately I can't afford those expensive juices. I just buy quart bottles in multiples, of Hoppe's. I soak tough areas and it works fine. Lube with Amsoil MP. Good to go.
