What's the correct rear iron sight to match my A-frame front sight?

One of my AR-15's is a Springfield Armory Saint. It came with iron sights, the front being a normal A-frame. At some point I removed the rear sight and put on a scope. The other day I removed the scope and wanted to put the rear sight back on, but I couldn't find it in my AR15 parts box! I don't know what I did with it.
So... I ordered a flip-up rear from SA... THIS ONE.
Did I order the right one? After I ordered it (of course) I realized that neither the front nor the rear sights will be adjustable for elevation. So zeroing will be difficult.
Since the front A-frame gas block/sight is fixed position, seems to me I need a rear that will be adjustable for windage AND elevation.
What am I missing?
Thanks in advance.

Your front sight is elevation adjustable by screwing the post up or down. There is a tool to accomplish that even though I have done it without one.

The picture of the rear sight you linked plainly has a windage knob on the left side.

You should be good to go.

My front sight doesn't have an adjustable post. My other AR has that, but the one I'm talking about does NOT.
My mistake, I should have included a picture in my original post. I'll do that in a few minutes.

Laphroaig, I owe you an apology... I was dead wrong. It's my own AR, and I failed to realize the front sight IS ADJUSTABLE!!!! I suppose I never saw the post on the front sight because I slapped a scope on the AR the minute I got it home... so I never used the irons. My mistake... thank you for causing me to realize what the problem is! At least I can tell the rear sight I bought will work just fine.
Just take a look... the front post is there to see... if I had only looked...***sigh***

Does the front sight base have an F embossed on the side? If so, nearly any rear sight will work. The F means for a FlatTop upper. A non-F marked FSB is for carry handle upper receivers. The difference is the F marked FSB is .040" shorter (iirc)

Plenty of companies make a front sight tool for the A2 sight. But, the tip of a bullet works just as well. And something you already have on hand. I prefer to use a round other than m855, prevents the green tip from scratching off in the sight.

Your rear sight should work just fine with the stock front sight.

The A2 sight tends to be "square, and the older A1 is usually "round". Also, between the A1 and A2, there is a different amount of "slots" in the base of the front sight for the tool, if you use the tool. If you have a tool with the wrong amount of lugs, it won't work right- I have both in my tool kit. Cheaper tools will often end up with the teeth being broke. I only use the tools to remove or install front sight posts- for adjustment, I use a nail. I don't remember what size nail is needed- I kept a box of nails that would work in my range box when I was in the mil, so I guess go through your stash of nails for something that works. Lots of times on a army zero range, you could find a nail that would work on the firing line or even stuck in the sandbags that someone else had thoughtfully left for you. For flip up rear sights, I like the GG&G BUIS (this one was purchased for us by my unit) or the Midwest Industries ERS sight. Both of these lock in the UP position, VS those that spring up like the magpul.

I like a good A2/A4 style carry handle with the elevation drum. I can zero the sights for a standard distance and use the elevation drum for variations from there. That said the pictured sight seems good and should serve well and be lighter by a good margin.

Buy a UTG flip up sight. It is the same one that was originally on the Saint. It should cost 25-30 bucks. I think Springfield uses the super slim one but either will work fine. Others will bash the selection but I have been using a set of magpul and a set of utg on different rifles for about 5 years and have abused both without issue. The UTGs are easier to use. The company has a history of some questionable products but the sights are legit. One of the local gunshops only stocks the UTG and Magpul polymer sights and they haven’t really gotten any complaints about either.

The sight was already purchased. OP was just making sure the rear sight he bought would work with the front sight.
