1885 winder Musket

My oldest firearm is a Winchester 1885 Low Wall "Winder" Musket.
Shoots only 22 shorts and is in great shooting condition. It was used as a military trainer back at Camp Custer outside of Battle Creek, MI well before WWI

I have a WM. Moore double barrel 12 gauge shot gun 1880's from my Great Uncle. I have a Savage 1895, Savage 1899 (250-3000) year 1914, and a Savage 99 (300) year 1941 also hand me downs from great granfathers, grandfather, and uncles. My dad is still living so he still has the cream of the crop from the family. Our family never sell guns, we hand them down and we are told of their lineage from generation to generation. My son now hunts with the Savage 1899, know its history and is proud of it.

My oldest is still a pup. 1939 Czech BRNO vz.24 8MM Mauser. I've had this rifle since about 1980 or so. Was a gift to me from a fellow who worked for my father.

Next to that I have a 1975 Marlin Glenfield 60.

I think I've already posted. 1888 Merwin Hulbert 5 shot revolver. Had to look up the old thread. I don't handle my older guns much. I get mixed up on the newer gun dates as well. Was totally convinced my Security Six was mfgd in 1972, but my friend was right....it was 1974. I can't keep track anymore. Getting old myself.

Couple of old neglected trapdoors that were given to me, though I really gave them to brother. He says he's just "keeping them" for me. I sure wish he'd take them and call them his own.

Have my great grandfather's old .22 single shot. It looks a good 150 years old. Its something like a rolling block action with a flip up peep sight on the stock. Haven't found much info on it. I'll have to look at it again next time I go home.

Here's a treat for you guys. A Mosin-Nagant 1891 Dragoon model dated 1897 in (almost) original configuration. The only things which do not fit the date of production are some arsenal markings from later on and the 2 piece Finnish stock. However, they tell the story of the rifle. Produced in Imperial Russia in 1897, the Austrian arsenal marking indicates that it was captured at some point in WWI. After which, it was sold to the Finnish during their civil war as indicated by the two piece stock common to those guns. I don't remember it having any importer marks, but obviously it came into the US somehow, and I purchased it at a flea market for $100 from a guy trying to sell it as a Mauser "hunting rifle" for $150. It was in really bad shape, but I cleaned it up real nice. Only thing is, in removing the rust I inadvertently removed some of the bluing as well. Unfortunate, but I did it the best way I knew how, and had to do something to keep the rifle from turning into a giant orange thing with a piece of wood on it. I have better pictures, but don't feel like editing out the serial number right now and don't want to post that.
