Right Hand hold on a Left Hand rifle...

well in general there's nothing wrong with shooting a right-handed rifle left-handed. but in this case, that stock is probably pretty uncomfortable.

I would think you would more likely see a Left hander shooting a right handed gun that way though...not the other way around.

I would think the photographer wanted the rifle pointing to the left for graphic setup, they only had a left handed rifle (that's strange) and he figured he'd get less comments than if he had just reversed the image...I almost said flipped the negative, until is realized that this was likely shot in digitial format

i think ive heard somewhere that military snipers use left handed rifles so they dont need to take their finger off the trigger.......i dunno if its true or not but it sems to make sense.

The front sight on that rifle is back to far, and on the bottom of the barrel

ive actually seen a fair bit of that.....more prevalent on target rifles which someone mounts a scope on.....not sure the exact reason but im thinking its so the distance of the front sight doesn't change

is that the front sight? i had no clue what it was.

I've never heard of the military using a left handed firearm. It would just complicate things. You'd have righties being issued lefty rifles, and vise versa, because that what was available at the time. Not to mention additional spare parts to keep up with.

Besides, they'd still have to break their cheek weld to cycle the bolt, so its not like they can stay on target.

It doesn't look like a front sight as most of the body is under the barrel...i was thinking a light, laser or some kind of bore sighting attactment

Looks like a hooded front aperture sight rotated to 4:00, he's making no use of the sling and the sky is camoflaged! Since when did tripping and firearm usage become acceptable? It's definitely out of sorts.
