Whats your dream carry gun?

I would like a Kahr K-9 but in Titanium instead of steel. Plastic is a joke and the plastic Kahrs are not yet perfected despite what you may hear from some people. I would even settle for a aluminum framed K-9 if price was an issue.

A K-9 or a MK-9 in Titanium would be about as close to perfect as I can imagine and still be realistic.

You know, while this isn't a revolver thread I looked high and low for a Colt Magnum Carry for 2-3 years.

While it might be the ultimate backpacker, it's awkward to carry wheel gun speedloaders vs. auto magazines. Still think it fits the 'ultimate' carry gun in many ways.

I'd like a BHP with a skinny grip and fingergrooves in a really rockhard parkerized finish with low profile night sights and a commander hammer. Or a similar finished Colt Commander with a smooth arched msh, and a long trigger, old style wide checkered hammer.

Something kind of 'old school' tactical that wouln't wear off easy or be shiny at all. I have some very pretty blued Colts, and one ugly one... and I rather like the utility of a park'd finish. I just haven't got around to bulding one. Grey park. over stainless might be ideal.

Hmm... two. A copy of the Webley Mark I with top-of-the-line metallurgy, with a cylinder to take .45ACP or .45 long colt. Or a CZ 83 in 5.7...

Found it - P99cQA in 9mm. Best combination of all the features I look for.

P2000 .40 LEM is a bit long in the trigger, otherwise it would be #1.

The SA EMP in .40 was one I was dreaming of for a long time - but the alloy frame and 3" bbl might make it too unruly.

Getting mine built soon.

My dream carry gun is going to be a reality fairly soon.
Springfield frame.
Tool steel commander style hammer, sear and disconnector (I went with Ed Brown stuff).
E.B. "Hardcore" extractor
Flat mainspring housing checkered 20 LPI (Smith & Alexander)
Beavertail grip safety (also S & A)
Frontstrap checkered 20 LPI
Smooth ivory grips (made by Ajax) (fake)
Beveled mag well
Yost/Bonitz retro rear sight
Millet front sight, flourescent orange.

Our very own Deezulsmoke is providing me with a quote for the work. Of course then there's the question of whether to get it re-parkerized after the work on the grip safety or have it stripped and blued. Decisions.

I think I would have to go with a Glock 32C .357Sig with a dark blue (Police) frame with my badge engraved on one side of the slide and my ID number with "HPD" engraved on the other. Nice pimped-out conversation piece.
:)

the semi mythical CZ 40 Compact Carry Melt. They made one for the catalogue back in 2000, but never produced them. A Steel framed CZ75 Compact in 40 with all sharp endges factory "melted". Sweet. Cannot afford to buy a new Compact 40 now and melt it myself, but that is the only way I'll get one. Someday, if I get my $10K raise the union is blathering about.

GLOCK 29

I already have my dream carry gun, the fact that it really exists is a bonus :) . What more is there, the equivalent of a full powered .357 revolver in a 10+1 round semi-automatic format :what:!!!

Dream Carry Guns:

Revolver(s): 3" Colt Combat Python. Webley MKVI converted to .45 ACP, 3" barrel, every edge rounded and smoothed, and converted to round butt.

Autos: Browning High Power chambered in .357 SIG, with Heinies or XS. Then there is the issue of the 1911. It would be a Caspian Ti frame, with a Commander length Damascus Slide...and fitted with Heinies.

after years of owning many handguns and spending more money on them then I care to mention Im lucky to already have mine, a 229ST, there are still some others out there that I would love to get my hands on but at the end of the day I know of none that could replace my 229ST.
