What's your dream pistol?

Yeah, it was my birthday! I can see rated R movies now!
I completely forgot about my own birthday until that morning, and I also totally forgot that today was Pearl Harbor Day!

Never forget...

p.s. what pm thingy?

.357 magnum 7 or 8 shot, S&W, but with a handle more like their early 20th century .38 special Navy revolver, which sits in my hand much better than their current handle, and a 7" barrel.

Sig 226 chambered in .357, but with about an inch more barrel length, and a higher capacity magazine.

Walther P99.

And I'll put in a couple of long guns while I'm at it.

Swedish mauser m96, scoped
Browning semiautomatic shotgun
Fully-auto AK-47 (since we're fantasizing, legally owned of course)
Military version M-16

BluesBear,

Thanks for the heads-up.

I checked it out. They don't make a 44 as in what I mentioned, but they do make a 41 Mag, a 45 Colt and a 45 ACP, all smallish 5-shot revovers.

I haven't payed much attention to Taurus firarms, but I'll look into these.

A 9mm C96 Broomhandle Mauser
A Mauser C96 Bolo Broomhandle
A S&W Model 27 with 6.5 " barrel
A S&W Model 29 8 3/4 barrel 5 screw (just because)
A Sig 210
A really nice Webley MKVI
A cherry Winchester Model 71 rifle (HEY - it's my list)

I like obscure antiques.

I would love to have one of these:

lanc.jpg

A Charles Lancaster DA o/u pistol. This one is a .455, but I want a .577. Saw one once for $3500.

And:

A Merwin & Hulbert New Pocket Army in .44-40. This one's a .38, but New Pocket Army's look just like it. This particular .38's going for a cool $3000.

I want a medium-frame 10mm revolver, also, but I'd have to have it built.

An early production S&W Model 27, with a 3 1/2 inch barrel....Blued!
It would then be dressed in a set of high grade French Walnut stocks crafted by Roy Fishpaw. Did I miss anything here?? :)

I'd have to go with a Freedom Arms .41 Magnum and then send it off to Hamilton Bowen and tell him to make it "Special"

Hrmm... If neither time nor money were issues, I'd probably have Ned Christiansen work me up a Brian Bilby-esque 1911 jobbie... An lightweight officer-sized frame and a steel Commander-sized slide. Probably in 9x23 or 38 Super. 10mm wouldn't be horrible either. A bit of Ned's trick metal magic with something as similar as possible to boron carbide as the finish.

And I wouldn't mind an Automag. Or one of the few Keweizicz (actually, I have no idea what it was called) pistols... They were similar in appearance to the Automag but with cleaner lines and generally a higher end product.

Also wouldn't mind a something that was full auto but very controlable.

I'd have Bowen do a M1917 conversion a a Ruger Redhawk in .50AE w/moonclips.

Easy.......Commander sized 10mm 1911 with a Damascus slide and blued frame by Larry Vickers......yeah, he probably would be reluctant until the zeroes started piling up...:neener:

After that...

Streetsweeper (I think thats right, the full-auto 12 ga.)
Full Custom Gov't. Model 1911 in a brilliant blue finish with Ivory stocks
S&W 329PD
SM&A treated Colt Mustang Pocketlite
Springfield Armory M1A Scout x2
Start my own collection of 3" bbl. N-frames a la Tamara
MP5SD
An example of every commemerative edition or LE stamped Glock
awwww forget it, I could go on for days....
