Hi Folks,

Been looking for a while for more pulled or otherwise inexpensive jacketed bullets to feed the European .30 cals, 147 grain or up.

No joy. Used to be they were all around. I've posted WTB ads all over the internet.

I'd hate to have to go buy Hornady soft point just to plink!

The 91/30 does have a tight bore, about 0.309", and I get pretty OK precision from 0.308" bullets... but still, that lil' 1/1000" can let gas around to erode the bore. So, I don't want to do that.

Any help? I can't believe nobody's pulling bullets from the .303/7.7/7.62x54R any longer.

Thanks,

Josh

The sad reality is that they are getting good money for corrosive ammo these days without having to take it apart. IIRC The pulls of foreign stuff was old WW2 ammo that was really corroded and not safe to shoot. What they could save mostly was the bullets. Now this has dried up and these days people do not mind shooting corrosive even though they have to clean their firearms better/more afterwards due to the high cost of the better quality stuff.

I'm trying to feed several rifles in those calibers and the pickings are slim. I do remember hearing that .303 dried up awhile back. I haven't had my Enfield long enough to know but 7.62x54R has dropped slightly in availability.
