VENEZUELA has offered aid! President Chavez has offered to send food, water, rescue workers and fuel.

Perfectly fine by me. We were all pretty dumbstruck when Iran refused our help after an earthquake -- I don't see why we should turn down Venezuela's charity.

With fuel prices already high some cheap fuel oil and gasoline might really help in getting people out of there on private boats, personal watercraft, etc. Diesel for generators, etc.
