Strong side rear pocket in wallet-holster, most of the time.

So far, no one has noticed I'm carrying two "wallets." ;)

Commander, OWB, 4:00, 90% of the time.
Alloy snub .38, RF pocket, in a DeSantis Nemesis.
Occasionally, Cmdr or BHP in Galco shoulder rig.

Best,
Johnny

Snub (summer) OWB high ride at 4.30

Winter ... mainly 4 - 4.30 Fobus paddle for P series. Also tho sometimes Bianchi sho rig ... counted that as ''other'', tho in one sense a cross draw.

At times I do switch to BHP because slimmer .... same position with a Fobus as for p series but also have a Cobra sho rig for this too.

If I get the 65LS...

I'm gonna try a cross draw holster. For the first time too. Gotta be concealed in Kentucky. A little flash...and they call it "brandishing". I'd appreciate opinions on a good *concealed cross-draw type holster.

Where:

Crossdraw, about 9:30 or 10:00 (I'm right handed)

Why?:

Because it makes it easy to draw while sitting down. Also makes drawing with left hand much easyer...

ladies?

Im just curiouse, but what about the ladies. Has anyone out there found a good way to carry(besides a purse:mad: ) that makes it so you can still wear normal clothes? Im 5'6" and 120lbs. The only thing i can think of is to gain 20lbs or so, and im not really willing to do that:rolleyes:

So, any ideas?

lissell: The other main options for woman I have seen are the backpack types (just a bigger purse) or the "thunderwear" or bellyband type. It is worn underneath like a wrap around the stomach. Here is a pic of runt with it... http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=282612#post282612 from a thread from a while ago.

Pocket carry would also work if the gun is small enough. And ankle if the pants/jeans are cut to accept it.

My wife already has some extra weight, and that makes it impossible for any gun not made of rubber to curve around her. So she had to settle with a purse.

lissell - a cautionary mention re the belly bands.......

I bought one earlier this year ... idea seemed great and more attractive to me than straight IWB holster .. IWB being something I do not fair well with from a comfort POV.

Set it up .... put it on ... released belt tension a notch or two, inserted piece and .... great .. felt good.

However ..... over an hour or so ... not really that long .... damn thing was riding up way higher than I choose to have it ..... and I could find no easy way to make it stay as i wanted.

Reason? .... well this could be a very ''build dependant'' thing. I am a trainee geriatric at 58 ... but somehow despite that age am still 6'.00", 205 and ... most amazing .. I still have a waste!!!:D Albeit 36 for pants.

So my thinking is ..... the whole deal was bound to migrate from over my hips (and they ain't that big BTW!) ...... upwards towards the slightly narrower area.

On this analysis therefore I'd suggest this will only really work well with guys or gaps who ''increase'' a tad above hips ... which would/should, keep the whole deal where it should be - all time.

Just an 0.02

BTW - just checked on mine .. it's an ''Action Direct'' medium ... do a search and you'll find it I imagine.

Pocket holster 24/7: I used to carry IWB in front right side. I allways felt vulnerable with it on my back, seemed to easy for someone to grab. I know, I have seen ton's of people who are waaaay too comfy with this set up, I could have just snached it away....easy. A bunch were cop's!:(

I'm with David4516, crossdraw at about 9:30, IWB. Since I have a kid, I do a lot of bending and I found that having the grip pointing forward doesn't print very much at all compared to strongside when bending.
My Question for all of you people who carry at 4:30 is, how do you sit in the car without bruising your kidneys?

Funny that .. I was all but gonna post a new thread on that very thing!!

In fact - when driving I am sorta used to the pressure and feel ... whether snub in summer or, as now .... switched back to P series. Bit like the constant presence of a wrist watch ... when it ain't there ... feels nekkid!

Guess it makes for some discomfort at times but overall .. it's well tolerable. Thing I have noticed tho ..... my office chair has a near permanent dent in the back and the vinyl covering is looking rather ''tired'' in that area!

I used to be very fond of cross draw as a technique and you are right .. it helps reduce printing probs quite a bit ...... downside for me is the easier exposure that can occur when shirt flaps opene a bit ... like gettin outa truck with wind blowing etc.:p

2 pocket pistols = guess where?

The .45ACP? - Well for driving & carrying, I found a left handed Yaqui Slide style thats comfortable to pack while safetybelted into a carseat. Usually wear a light jacket with this rig.
Pants holsters are nearly impossable to access sitting down.:(
