Where do you carry your wallet?

i carry one of these in my front left pocket. less risk of pocket being picked and i don't run the risk of accidentally exposing my CCW when i get it out. it also prevents my from putting a tone of junk in my wallet because there is little room in there and my leg doesn't fall asleep when i'm driving from the wallet being pressed on my butt.

Middy has it correct again.
LR is where a gentleman carries his wallet.
The reason some do not carry thus is that deviationists are among us, forcing us away from gentlemanly behavior. :(

Of course gentlemen shoot miscreants and slap idiots too. Guess Heinlein was corect about manners. :D

Wallet and holster both on stong side. Wallet is in back pocket. A holster can make reaching the wallet slightly difficult but not bad.

I carry a money clip wallet with my military retiree ID, ATM card, Credit Card and rarely more than $20 in my weak side rear pocket.

I also carry a second wallet with my DAF ID, Drivers License, Nevada and Florida CCW and all of my pistol registration cards (don’t ask I live in Clark County) in either my weak side front pocket or a shirt pocket (makes going thru the gate less of a problem).

As both an armed and unarmed martial artist I don’t like offering up my strong hand. This also lets me turn my strong side away from someone I would hand the wallet to. This conceals my strong side hand / arm and my gun from view as I reach for the wallet, and hides my draw if I need to employ my weapon. I can also give up my wallet with out revealing that I carry a gun or loosing truly sensitive ID.

When I started carrying on my right hip, I switched my wallet and leatherman to my left side. It took about 3 weeks to get use to it. :)

I carry my wallet in my left front (side) pocket. I learn this from a sergeant of mine and it does wonders for your back to not carry it in a back pocket. Also, when I carry my 640 in my right (strong) side front pocket, it looks like either side could be a wallet.

I use a truckers wallet in my right front pocket. Its got about $150 in it right now I'm about ready to load it up for the weekend gun show. What is it with you folks who only carry $5?
I've carried small pistols behind a wallet in my right front pocket. This can be tricky. This method doesn't work with a truckers wallet.

Who taught y'all to dress? A man's wallet goes in his weak-side rear pocket.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised but I thought this was generally known. :uhoh: A gentleman carries his wallet on the left back pocket. Or for those who are directionally challenged on the weak side. :uhoh:

Umm, why does the wallet in the left back make it gentlemanly, and presumably in the right back pocket ungentlemanly?

CAS,
In the days of yore, a gentleman was always armed, a social responsibility thing. The weapon/strong hand was never restricted. With 7/8ths of the population right handed, that meant that the wallet went on the left. IIRC Most breeches didn't have front pockets till way into the 1800's.
It is also why ladies and subordinates walk to the left of and slightly behind, to allow free access to weapons on the part of the gentleman whose duty it was to take care of any dirty work. Also why hats were tipped with the left hand when meeting with ladies allowing weapons free as needed, salutes and hand shakes with the right with gentlemen, depending on military status to demonstrate friendly status, ie. no weapons to hand. It also follows from there, one of the reasons why left handers were looked upon with some suspicion.

Normally, dress pants only have (or had) a back pocket on the left. Who wears good pants any more?

Next on THR: proper way of tying ties...

heck, the last pair of dress pants I got had both rear pockets SEWN SHUT! Took 2 minutes with a knife to open them up. Why the HELL would anyone sew a MANS pockets shut? I know women hate to put anything in their pockets (if they even have them) but still like the fake pocket look, but has this idiocy migrated to men as well?

On many mens' pants the only pocket with a button (or velcro today) is the left back pocket. That's because traditionally that pocket held the wallet.

LR pocket. Standard tri-fold wallet with everything in it. $50 at the most, normally one twenty. Moat of my cash is carried in the RR pocket. Gun is IWB at about 4:00.

I used to carry in my RR pocket, I made the switch sometime in high school. Its not easy to do...
