I ordered a Nikon Primos scope,Burris base and rings for my Savage 110 270 rifle and it will not mount up. The rings are to far apart and hit the back of the tube where you adjust the eyerelief. I noticed that you can get offset rings is this what I need. Thanks for any help.

savages have a pretty long bridge and lots of guys run the extension stuff on them. but...
which burris base and rings? if an 'std' style base, did you flip the base so the adjustment screws are towards the front, or the rear? hint: they should be toward the front.

get the dednutz game reaper. it's the best I've ever used on a bolt action rifle. They look great and they tend to size up perfectly. if you take your gun into the gunshop you can dry fit one to make sure you do not have the same problem again, but it's what I use on my savage and it works great. (I also use nikon scopes and have plenty of room)

You need an 'extended' base or ring for the front mount, some even use them on the rear in addition to the front.
