I have more hand guns than anything. I just enjoy the and have more time to put them to use.
9 Glocks
3xd's
2 rugers
1 cz
1 s&w and 1 Sig.
I'm sort of a rifle newbie and only have
1 Sig (m400 enhanced 556)
2 remington 22's
I have 3 remington shot guns.
I get the most enjoyment out of the pistols, because I only have one rifle range near me where I can stretch them out over 100 yards, and its 30 miles away. The shotguns rarely get shot as one is for HD, and the other two were handed down to me by my late grandfather and are in rough shape.

I'm interested in many shooting activities, and about 20 years back quit selling guns I like. I also upgraded my security substantially after a burglary - when I lost several guns that I will never be able to replace. I have several family members who shoot, and I teach lots of young people to shoot. Handguns very nearly tied with rifles, and if I counted right WILL achieve that tie next week.

I don't shoot shotguns enough to need more than a Beretta 5901 12ga, a Mossberg 500 shorty, and a Remington 1100 LT-20 T - but then again, I could shoot shotguns a lot and still only need those three! Rifles tend to be more specialized, and pistols - I like pistols....:D:D:D

Hmm, so far we have a lot of people voting pistols and rifles (pistols in the lead), and less than 6% voting shotguns.

I'm guessing because shotguns are a lot more versatile in a single chambering. You have your different pistols and rifles for different tasks, but with a shotgun you use the same gun with different loads.

I'm curious to hear from those who voted the other two options.

Rifle, because everyone knows a pistol is just a backup to get to your rifle! Not to mention I like to reach out and touch that target!

Let's see. Four shotguns, five revolvers, three pistols, nine rifles. The shotguns are strictly tools. I love my handguns, but rifles are really what I like to shoot.

I keep proficient with handguns, but they are tools, either for SD, or hunting.

Have more hanguns, prefer to shoot target rifles. Have 2 shotguns W/5 barrells cover home defense, informal skeet, and hunting. Just don't need more than 12ga 3in auto and 12 ga 3in pump.

Right now I've got 2 pistols (both 1911s, a Colt Commander and a RIA full size)
3 rifles (Spikes Middy, Converted Saiga 7.62x39, and Mosin/Nagant M44)
and 1 shotgun (Indian 12ga BP (1863 British Carbine Reproduction)

I have a tie...
Me too - a 3-way tie between pistols, rifles, shotguns. I had selected "rifles" and was just about to click "vote" and then I thought "wait a minute...". Almost forgot that new revolver. So I'm taking Skribs' advice and voting "rifles", since right at this particular moment, the next object of my affliction is a rifle. That could change pretty easily, but I'm working with what I've got. :)

My alternate reply would be that I have several ties, but I never wear 'em. :D

I have more pistols than rifles, but only by 2...however, when I build the two stripped AR lowers I have laying around, I'll be all tied up again. Shotguns lag behind by 4, may add one or two more if I get into doing 3 gun matches, but for now, I'm pretty well set in that department.

I have about twice as many handguns as I do longguns and about twice as many rifles as I do shotguns.

While I do have quite a few Hunting rifles I caught the Mil-Surp Bug and have been buying them for a few years now.I only own 1 pistol a Ruger GP-100 .357,It is a beautiful handgun.I also have 5 different shotguns from Browning BPS 12ga,16ga Mossberg,,870,Beretta,3.5in 835,20ga.Sorry about that.
