A little background: for over a year I've been taking creating and maintaining the site for a friend's gun shop. The agreement I had with my friend was that, at whatever point he felt comfortable, I would get a new Kimber Eclipse Target for my efforts. We were both happy with the exchange.
My friend's partner decided to become the dominant player with regard to the shop, and I now will be dealing with him. He wants to talk to me about setting up an online store for him--shopping cart, security certs, database, etc. I won't actually be doing the day-to-day updating of inventory or sales, just setting up the store for him, which could take a couple of weeks.
Anyway...I'm thinking that a DSA FAL would be a fair thing to ask for in exchange for my efforts. But before I meet with him, I'd like to get some feedback on the various models.
I'm drawn to the FAL carbine, synthetic stocks, etc. I'm also drawn to the wood-stocked models.
Any upsides or downsides to any of them? And what do you think are fair prices for the models you're familiar with?
Thanks for any replies.
