which one?

i have a chance to buy choice of a 9mm handgun, both are new in box but i can't seem to decide. one is a new beretta nano and the other is a charter arms revolver. i used to be just a revolver guy but after shooting some semi auto's i like them too. since i can't shoot either as they are new and the owner wants to keep them that way, i'm kinda stuck. so which would ya'll buy?, i can't get both only one of them. if ya'll had the choice which would ya'll get? thanks

Neither would be my cup of tea, but being the curmudgeon I am the Beretta would get the nod. Great experiences with several of their handguns over the years, versus none with Charter.

I have neither. I'd go with the Charter, because I'm oldscool, because of what I've heard of their customer service, because they're American made and because the Nano is too glock-icky.

I had an older Charter Arms Undercover and was not overly impressed with it's overall fit and finish. Looked at a Beretta Nano and a Kahr CM9. Thought they were both well built guns and went with the CM9 because it had a nicer trigger and felt better in my hand than the Nano. Between the two choices I would go with the Beretta Nano.

i don't own any handguns right now, my neighbor was gonna take these to a shop to sell one when i asked about them. he is gonna sell one of them and keep the other. he has give me a great deal of choice. the fit and finish go to beretta, as the charter has some marks and the cone looks rough. but like i said i used to be old school but autos ain't bad. just wished i could make my mind up. i have to by tomorrow morning when he will take them to a shop if i can't decide. thanks

I don’t own either of them. But l do own a different Beretta that I purchased used. When it malfunctioned, I contacted Beretta and was informed that they only warrant their guns for one year for the original (New) purchaser. After that you’re on your own. I don’t know about Charter.

I bought a Charter Arms Undercover - sadly it was during their worst days.
BUT - I sent it in for service in 2014 & they went waaayyyy beyond.
It's like a new gun (same serial so it's my old one).
I lost the cylinder release spring & plunger - they sent a new one.
Lost that one too! I called 'em & they were happy to have it returned (on my dime)
But they replaced not only the parts I needed, but they said the crane internals were rough.
So they replaced the entire crane assembly.
Returned it to me via FedEx on their dime.

Accuracy is dang good from a 2" barrel.

If the Charter is of recent vintage (and should be if it's a 9mm)
I'd go with that.
Yes I'm old school - but we learned to count, add, subtract, multiply & divide w/o a calculator.

If they're both 9mm, I'd get the Beretta. I'm a believer in semi-auto cartridges in semi-auto's and revolver cartridges in revolvers.

While 9mm revolvers are sort of a "cult fad", generally speaking they're harder to sell if you want to. That's why manufacturers don't make many of them.

Neither. For the same money you can get a Bersa 9mm which is a good gun for the cost. Are you going to carry this gun as a concealed carry?

i was offered choice for only $200, i chose the Nano and registered with beretta which gives me a 3yr warranty. now to get ammo and try it out, thanks everyone.

back in june a friend of mine traded his nano for a charter, the charter spit lead and he sent it in. it came back shooting good except it shot a foot low at 10yds, he finally sold it and now has another nano.
