Which scope to go with Remington 700P LTR

Hi I am buying a Remington 700P LTR with 20" barrel.

Which rifle scope should I buy for this gun? I cannot afford any $1000 scope. I am thinking about something around $400.

any idea?

Also anybody can recommend any book to read about how to shoot a rifle accurately? OH, which benchrest should I get to sight in my gun?

Look at Nikon and Super Sniper stuff. Seems like a good "bang for the buck"

I put a Nikon Buckmaster 6-18x40 on mine and I love it, (see pic)

For a bench rest, I have used a "Lead Sled" but I cant recall who makes it....great rest though.
