Which Skinner Sight for a Henry .22?

I wouldn't bother putting an aperture where the stock rear sight already is - you won't get full benefit that far from the eye

the Skinner groove looks like a winner, I assume you're re-sighting a H001 series, which model?
I just did new F&R sights on my H001TM, a lyman globe front and a WGRS rear on the scope rail - those took a LOT of fitting but I have high hopes for this setup, I just need an afternoon on the outdoor range to test/zero
I also stuck a HiViz on my H001L to add a fiber-optic front sight, but that doesn't raise the front at all.

I have the Golden boy 22 with Octagon bbl. I used the brass dovetail sight and replaced the Marbles brass bead front sight with the same model Marbles sight with day-glo orange bead.

Since my eyesight is so bad even with glasses, I use this combo like a red dot sight-put the orange bead on target and nail it. The buckhorn sights were totally useless in my case, and i did not want to spoil the classic look with a scope.

I'm totally happy with mine. Mine looks just like the first 2 pictures on the Henry page of the Skinner website.

The ONLY complaint I have about my Henry is the sights. They leave a lot to be desired. The skinner groove would be my pick of those. You should probably go ahead and get a new front sight too.

I have also been interested in a little tang mounted peep sight, I think those would be a lot of fun too.

I plan on upgrading my sights some day... when I have the extra cash.
