Which SKS Is Best?

I like all of mine, pick the features you want because my pinned barrel chinese SKS's shoot just as good as my screw in barrel russian SKS's. In my opinon if you want it for a truck gun I would go with a yugo or chinese, if you want more of a collector then get the russian...

BHP FAN- Paratroopers were never used in tanks or armored cars, Norinco made them for the American gun market, I'm almost positive the chinese military never had paratroopers.

I had an Albanian at one time that was interesting. The forestock was longer and made it look a little odd. Plus the butt-stock had two holes instead of one for cleaning gear and Lord only knows what else. The bolt handle was more a curved blade and not a knob. A guy who collected SKS variants wanted it much more than I did....

i bought my china made sks when they first came out. mine had the spike Bayo.I put a folding stock on it. I never had a jam or any malfuction, ever,and i have 40 and 50 round mags, and i used to shoot it as fast as i could ,I liked the machined actions,but i got mine new,for half as much as the others,

That's a nice Paratrooper SKS-M you've got there. really nice. I've only actually ever seen 1 of them. Definitely worth a more than your run of the mill SKS. If i were you I'd stock up on AK mags for that bad boy!

Well I just traded a Norinco with folding stock,scope,bayonet, New bolt and bolt carrier, for a Winchester Model 68, I have had that chicom rifle since 1992 I bought for 75bucks at a gun show in New Orleans, I have a beautiful Russian with a chicom fixxed 20rd mag, That thing is a thing of beauty, blade bayonet, perfect wood, I traded a dude for a taurs 38, I would get a Russian if you can find one for the right price. Has anyone ever had a East German? I here they are awsome!
