Want to use it for hiking but also want it to be a decent shooter. I have a Buckmark Micro (too big & heavy). Used to have a PT22 but lacked quality.
Isn't there something like the Sig Mosquito or Walther P22 but has a better trigger than the Sig and better reliability than P22?
Some I'm considering:
1. Sig Mosquito (expensive with trigger like bigger caliber Sigs....hard for .22)
2. P-22 (have heard some reliability issues...have shot one...OK.. but Sig seems better)
3. Beretta Tomcat (I think that's the name...flip top barrel...very small...but perhaps too small - and LOUD if it is like my old PT-22.
4. Bersa/Firestorm - haven't shot one. How is the trigger. Compare with others.
5. CZ Kadet - Not sure of weight...but darned expensive. Probably can't do it. What is the weight?
6. Ruger Bearcat - Yes...a revolver but only 23 oz - It would be tempting if it came with extra 22 mag cylinder like the single six.

Who else makes a .22lr auto that is under $350 and under 26 oz? Any input on the above would help. BUT I'm hoping to find one NOT in my list.

The Kadet weighs about 35 ounces. Probably heavier than you're looking for.

Sig Trailside with 4" barrel. I believe CDNN has these on close out right now.

They are light, and very accurate. Early trailsides had problems, but the newer ones are fantastic.
