Maybe not the place to bring this up,but who do you know is trustworthy when buying primers. I see lots of places saying they have primers, but how do you really know they aren't scamming you. Especially at the low prices??

Google search the company, look for reviews and good and bad shopping experience. I find a google search for the company name will usually bring me to several forums that company's products are used by and opinions of the company usually become apparent fairly quickly.

Buds. Specifically Uncle Lees which is its own branch of Buds. I drive by the store every day for work and have bought there several times. Not the cheapest, but it’s convenient and I don’t have to pay hazmat since I pick it up there. Midsouth would be another one I would trust. It’s also local to me so there’s that part of it again. Otherwise, the big box stores. I would really look closely at Academy and see if you could order and pick up in store if there’s one close. I bought a few thousand Tula primers a while back for about $1.50 per 100

All the big movers. I generally stay away from the 'here today, gone tomorrow' sites...

Lately, my favorite has been Powder Valley... and not only because they didn't gouge everyone during the initial powder shortage with huge markup on product. I just bought 5000 primer from them last month.

Anybody here with Chattanooga I see they have a website advertising primers I tried to contact them but they haven't got back to me yet okay appreciate your kind replies have a wonderful day

As far as buying primers online I only trust the big companies. The small companies with the really low prices are most likely scams. I try to buy in person as much as I can so I'm not paying that high hazmat charge or I buy from the big companies when they waved the hazmat or have free shipping.

I usually stick with the main stream vendors. Midway, MidSouth, Powder Valley, Brownells, Bruno's, ect are regulars for me. And I occasionally try a new one if several posters on the few forums that I visit mention one. I've recently ordered from Blue Collar Reloading and American Reloading.

My last primer purchases were from Academy, some from store, some mail-order. Out of stock today.
My next to last primer purchase was from Target Sports. "Free shipping" by the 5000 but they still charge Hazmat and sales tax.

Not sure I trust any online vendor because the one time I ordered primers from an established online vendor, they were hacked and someone in Panama had a good week or so on my card. Yes, I know I should've kept better oversight of my account, and you can bet your nippy I do now, but it doesn't make me want to go searching for primers on line. I have several good sources locally, though they are not cheap....

If they take credit cards, you're pretty safe. If they take ONLY bitcoin or other digital currency, and cash app type payments (zelle, google pay, etc), and have no traditional credit card payment option.....run away. If they offer all of the above, use your credit card if you don't have a warm fuzzy after researching them, but still want to make your purchase. Never use any method that does not have a dispute process (zelle, google pay, bitcoin, etc) unless you are 100% certain of the company and trust them.

I try to stick with names I know and have used in the past. I have taken a couple of chances lately, with good results. The key is credit cards: if they take them, they're probably good to go. If they don't, that's a big red flag.

Powder Valley, Midsouth, Graf and son and Natchaz
These are my main ones as well when using on line resources. Also they seem to have the biggest selection available when supplies are tight.
Adding Midway, but when ordering primers and propellant from here at the same time you get a separate Has Mat and different box shipped with each type.

The first red flag should be if they don't accept credit cards.

I've done business for primers that weren't being carried by the big name vendors yet (Genix; from Bosnia) and got good deals, but you have to do your own due diligence with a little research before ordering

Chattanooga Shooting Supply? They seem to be a wholesaler geared toward independent shops. From their website - "Chattanooga Shooting Supplies was founded in 1977 by two families that had a passion for waterfowl hunting and shooting. That same passion holds true today with the second generation of family members and has now grown into a business stocking over 45,000 SKUs of shooting and hunting-related products to service the independent dealer."

For small primers: normashooting.com

They have servicios aventura SPPs for sale at decent prices with no hazmat and free shipping. My last order (5K) was $65 per 1000

This is the official Norma ammunition website and ships from their warehouse in Savannah, GA.

I just wish they had LPPs!

Going forward I will give as much business as I can to Target Sports mail order. To me, they were the only big outlet on the internet that sold their primers openly and did what they said they would do.
I was able to get primers from them last year when no one else "had any."

For some reason my state does not sell reloading components, or at least I do not know of a place that sells them anywhere near me. I have to travel to Harrisburg, 2 hours away.

Just my 2 cents.
