Who makes a nice 3/8" LOP recoil pad for rifle?

Just got done with my first hunt with the new Browning BAR LW Stalker. Love the gun but it feels a hair long when I pack on all my clothes. I'd like to shorten the LOP by about 1/4". Does anyone know of a nice 3/8" thick black recoil pad I could have put on it?

I've been searching online but I can't seem to find much that is thinner then 5/8".

I think youll be hard pressed to find a recoil pad that size. Normally if your going to a shorter length of pull you cut down the stock to adjust, with a factory synthetic that isnt usually and option.

The least I can find is a Pachmayr 500B which is .4" thick (3/8" = .375").
It is not a prefit, pick the closest size, S, M, L, then it has to be sanded to fit the individual buttstock.

Brownell's, or Midway USA are good places to look with the largest selection... Buffalo Arms has some really nice ones that are slip-ons for handling heavy kickers...

Another question I have is would it be possible for a gunsmith to just grind down the stock recoil pad or would it end up looking all chewed up?
