A video of the Clinton, MS Wal-Mart stolen shotgun caught on camera and the thief got away. Suspect is still at large.
enjoy:

My thought is, if you're going to do a smash & grab, why only grab one?

I'm sure the next media question is why the cast iron frying pans weren't secured.

Just another example of how useless the gun control laws are. The BG checks are meaningless. These laws only add to the street value of stolen guns without a paper trail. It makes me wonder? What about that gun show "Loop Hole"? He risked arrest when anyone can get a firearm at a gun show? :D

That is the first Wal-Mart I've seen with exit doors right at the gun counter. I always wondered why we didn't have Plexiglas instead of glass for just that reason. But OTOH, being able to access the shotguns at work is part of my Zombie defense strategy if it happens while I'm at work. ;)

I come from the land of HANGIN JUDGE PARKER and I think we need to get our ropes and start stretchin some of these fine American citizens that the media trys to make it somehow the gun seller's fault. then Homie G dog will think before he does something of that nature. Their has to be a punishment better than what we give them, or else why should they stop if their are no repercussions.

Here this morning the news ran a story about a grandma who pointed a rifle at her grandson. The reporter finished the report with "The rifle was not registered.". While handguns are registered here, long guns are not. So why did the reporter say that? Probably because she thinks all guns should be registered, and she's showing her bias in her reporting.

The media tries to convince all Americans that guns should be registered.

You see it on TV and in the movies. A while back I was watching a show that was supposed to be in Idaho and they were talking about how the bad guy had an unregistered gun. There is NO registration in Idaho.

Walmart has security cameras all over their stores. Foolish place to steel a firearm. But, I guess the perp needed to defend his home or go hunting to feed his family? :D

Who needs a background check? The majority of Americans feel that a background check is prudent when some one purchases a firearm.

The media watches NCIS too much where it seems the show suggests that all firearms should be registered with the government.

Does the store have a responsibility to make guns difficult to steal? Do I have a responsibility to make my guns difficult steal?
I actually think that I do have a responsibility to make my guns difficult to steal. And I act accordingly with regard to storage and concealment.

To a degree yes. A reasonable effort. I think the attempt was reasonable.

How long does it take a pro to get into a safe. Answer carefully

I guess legislation is needed for Walmart to lock up the guns in a safe and put a picture book at the sporting goods desk. But what if some goon did the grab in the parking lot after the sale? Ok 2 armed guards escorting the buyer. I feel safer already.

More legislation controlling honest folk as the the thugs go uncontrollable. Background checks and more Walmart regulation.... your tax dollars at work.

Why is it that gun people so quickly come to the conclusion that any gun related problem must be addressed with legislation?

Target of opportunity. If someone is going to smash open a gun case during business hours, time is important. Grab one, maybe two and run. It can be pretty difficult to make a getaway if you are trying to run with 5 AR15 slung over each shoulder.

Even 40 years ago guns were locked in display cases with a rod or cable through their trigger guards. Securing a rifle by simply locking it in a glass case is just plain irresponsible.

Comparing a business that's open to the public to a homeowner is apple to oranges.

For me personally, the perimeter of the house is the "safe". If someone does a B&E they've already broken the law.

For a place like Wally World it's "come on in and take a look".

I think locked glass cases in a place of business are just fine. After all, no ones going to sell guns with just pictures and the guns locked up in a back room somewhere. Speaking on that premise, every single LGS I know has guns just sitting out on display with trigger locks. Then there's gun shows where there are literally guns laying out on tables everywhere.

Funny how you don't hear about folks running off with guns during business hours at those places. Maybe all WM's should up the ante with LLE. I know at mine there is almost always at least one LEO in the store somewhere.

Major violation of store policy. "Every firearm must be securely carried to the recipients vehicle by an employee, without exception!!"

I'm honored, you called me a gun person.

I was using satire to prove that gun legislation would not stop criminals. After all, criminals don't use background checks.

That is pretty much why I posted this. Criminals dont abide by the law no matter how many liberals cry lol. I mean, we can all see how well the gun laws in Chicago works:confused:

I would bet if open carry were permitted in this state the Crime would have never happened. And the law that says you can protect anyone and their property like it was yours instead of just being able to protect yourself when permitted to carry needs to change. Then you will see a decline in Crime. I don't think the world would miss these worthless Homie G Dogs that do these things anyhow. Their just wasting God's good clean air that I could be breathing. just my 2 cents
