Had done a lot of research and then a lot more searching to find a double action .41 so my Ruger Blackhawk would have a caliber companion and finally found one!!

Meet my new (To me anyway) Dan Wesson 41V .41 Mag today! While I had heard that the large frame Dan’s were big, I wasn’t expecting this big! With the 8 inch barrel and the heft, I’m hoping she’ll be a tack driver. Trigger was smooth and lockup was tight. Excited to get it to the range.

From the looks of it though if I want different length barrels i will have to find 44mag shrouds and turn down and thread my own barrels. I can’t seem to find any of the extra stuff for the .41.

DWs are great guns! IF... and that’s a big IF, you can find any .41 barrels and shrouds you’ll love the versatility that multiple barrels and shroud styles offer. :)

My former shooting buddy has a .44 version, Mine are of the .357 Mag persuasion. I’d love a .357 Max and a .41... but they’re out of my $$ league to date.

Nice find, let us know how it shoots .
