Why are Remingtons so expensive now

I was looking at Remington's MSRP listings and almost all their guns have gone up $100-$200 from last year. Every other company has pretty much the same prices as last year.

Weren't they purchased by that big conglomerate? The name escapes me...

And most gun prices have gone up considerably over the last few years. If they didn't raise them last year, it is because they have been doing a bunch of that over the last few. For example, Springfield Armory Loaded models have gone from upper $500-lower $600 range to over $800 in the past three years. Ditto their competition.

Remington hasn't been the samde since Dupont sold the company. Quality seems down and prices up. Lets hope things improve with the new owners.
