A friend of mine had four Winchester Safes in his garage, chock-a-block full of guns from his dad's collection who had recently passed. Anyway the gas dryer messed up and set the house a blaze. He lost several weapons, but it wasn't from the fire exactly, it was from the caustic chemical the fire dept. uses to extinguish the fire that did the damage to the guns.
He did call Winchester Safes and they did send him four new safes free of charge. A safe is a very wise investment and a great peace of mind. Mine way over 1200# empty, Heaven knows how much they weigh loaded up with all the weapons etc I have in them. So the likelihood of them being stolen is pretty slim I would think, or at least hope anyway.
