I just got a Turkchester SXP Defender in 20 gauge a couple months ago. It’s been working just fine although I wasn’t impressed with the more modern Eurotrash looking trigger guard so I got an older 1200 style trigger group off eBay instead. Now I did buy it without having any illusions of it being worthy of the name Winchester but more as a cheap beater backup gun or something I can just carry around the farm and for that, it works just fine. I’d probably put it in the same tier as a Maverick 88, maybe slightly lower. We need to get Jim Reeves from TFB to do one of his torture tests on an SXP. He had good luck with a Maverick but not so much with cheap oddball Turkish guns. I wonder how a Turkchester would hold up.
