Winchester 22lr Dynapoints?

Are these rounds OK for bolt action rimmies?

I've been using Super X solids, and they're good but expensive here.

Until now, I've steered away from cheaper alternatives, and all Remington 22 ammunition.

The Dynapoints are available in boxes of 500 ( most rounds only come in 50s and 100s) and amount to a considerable saving.

Are there any Remington rounds that are worth trying? Cyclones, Thunderbolts, Golden Bullet and Yellow Jacket are available here, but I've read so many bad reports about Remington rimfire ammunition that I haven't been prepared to try them.

My rimfire rifles are both CZ bolt actions.

I've shot the Dynapoints in my CZ 453 however I've found that the Federal Champions (510) are less expensive and more accurate. I would purchase the Federal Automatch over the Dynapoints if the Champions were not available, if accuracy is of importance. That said it's best to experiement to determine what shoots best in your rifle.

I have shoot thunderbolts and golden bullets and will never buy them again

Dynapoints are very good. Winchester has been busy bringing out some great rim fire ammo lately. If you can find them in your area, try out Winchester High Velocity Xperts and the Winchester 333 load.
These have been getting some good press over on Rim Fire Central Forums and with good reason. They have a consistent supersonic report, are very accurate for bulk ammo, feed and extract well and have an awesome truncated point hollow point bullet. That bullet is VERY effective on small game.

My Remington 597 hates Dynapoints. I had three consecutive FTF yesterday.

they do OK but SuperX is noticeably better. cost more though.
you might try CCI Blazer, it does OK but needs some time cleanig after shooting. it's fairly cheap.

Rem 'Golden Bullets' is some sorry stuff IMO I was at the range awhile back and some shooter had tossed a bunch (maybe a box full) out in front of the bench! they will not shoot worth a darn out of my Henry or my AMT.

Dynapoints shoot great out of every .22 I own. Can't find em local even before the shortage. Price was double that of other bulk the last time I located any.

There isn't the same demand here as in the States, so the ammunition I have access to may be quite old stock.

Fortunate for me, my Buckmark, CZ452 and 597 love them. It makes shopping easier. It is interesting with .22s though; they are picky.

Used to shoot a lot of 22 Winchester Dynapoints and Power Points. Around 2005 Winchester moved there production facility for 22s out of East Alton, IL into a new plant. Seems like Winchester 22 Ammo hasn't been the same since. Sometimes you get a good lot many times you don't. Quality control does not seem to be what it once was. These days I don't even bother buying Winchester 22 Ammo. I also avoid Remington 22 ammo. Best bet is try some CCIs or Federal 22s and see what load works good in your rifle.
