When did you buy them?I have 1000 rounds that was in the recall. I talked to Winchester and they said that they are going to cut a check for more than the current market price. How much more I am not sure. I paid normal price for these, but to find another 1000 rounds to replace these is going to be hard to do. I don't want to chance a double charge since my kids shoot the 22's just as much as I do.
i was wondering the same thing. I've always heard Ruger makes their pistols pretty stout....capable of handling more than recommended. this led me to wonder if they could handle a double charge of 22LR. i've got a super single six. not that I would try, or recommend trying, but it did make me kind of curious. This got me to wondering about how much powder was actually in a 22 LR cartridge so I pulled a couple of bullets this afternoon. A CCI Blazer is slightly less than half filled with powder while a Remington Cyclone Hollowpoint was slightly over half full. Difference in the type of powder I guess. Anyone have any idea what kind of pressure a full 22 LR case would generate?
