i have a model 12 12 gauge
the barrel reads on it (for super speed and super X 3 inch
serial number is 1474152

Early "heavy Duck" Model 12. They were made in mid 50s I believe when the first 3" shells appeared from Winchester.

your model 12 is indeed a Heavy Duck gun made in 1953....Heavy duck guns were first produced in 1935 through 1963/64....they came with standard 30in full choke barrels...with an aray of other options...

Yours should have a flat bottom forend ...might have the infamous dog leg action rod....

should have one of the 1922 patent solid red Winchester recoil pads on the butt stock...
