THIS WEEKEND...

cash in on that old broken shotgun, that crappy rifle, get yourself something nice and new that you can really shoot stuff with! I don't know if the payback is worth it...perhaps you can just go tell them that the DEPT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES (.gov) officially states such programs have no effect. source

It's political. . . . ppl gettin shot around here lately :( Eblen foundation looks nice by helping.

:( I donate to Eblen for poor kids at Christmas :(

ASHEVILLE BUYBACK PROGRAM
ASHEVILLE — City police have announced dates for a gun buyback program intended to cut crime while reducing accidental injury, suicide, domestic violence and celebratory gunfire.

The buyback operations will be held at the following locations:

• 2-6 p.m. today at Stephens Lee Community Center, 30 George Washington Carver St.

• 1-5 p.m. Saturday at Burton St. Community Center, 134 Burton St..

• 1-5 p.m. Dec. 14 at Shiloh Recreation Center, 121 Shiloh Road.

• 1-5 p.m. Dec. 15 at Montford Community Center, 34 Pearson Drive.

Police will be giving $50 for an operational handgun or long gun and $100 for an operational assault rifle.
