World record for concealment

Ask ROTL, I believe she loses half of her body weight when she disarms...

I attended my local PD's citizen police academy about a year ago. One of the demonstrations was frisking and weapon discovery. They had an old Lt. come in wearing baggy khakis and an army surplus jacket. They frisked him and found 12 weapons concealed, 8 of which were firearms including a sawed off shotgun.

Dude - after I remove all my weapons, I start to float ! :D

The most I've concealed was 10 (for fun at a gathering of TFLers), but I doubt I could draw some of them in under 2 seconds, and certainly not all of them (unless I've got more than 2 arms).

For practicality, I only conceal two, maybe three, plus extra magazines/sharp things.

Ask C.R. Sam - he could probably do it. :D

Well a abunch of us were going shooting one weekend and the only vehicle we had was...a Chevette. We stuffed most of the long guns in the hatch but the rest? We had to carry it somehow. Being the idiot I am I wanted to see just how much crap I could strap on and not be seen when going in to Booger Thing for some munchies. I wound up with a DE on each leg, a 1911 on each hip, a Taurus and a Berretta under each arm, somebodys wheelgun in SOB, some little POS in a boot and another POS in my outback hats band behind the feather(don't ask).

Threw on the outback rain slicker to cover it all and nobody knew I had a thing on. I had a good laugh but i wouldn't do it again, especially in this day and age. Then, there's a lot of things you can't do these days. Our national sense of humor about stupid kid tricks seems to have evaporated.

Back in 1992, one of my firearms instructors (who is an LAPD SWAT instructor) lectured the class for two hours, and THEN showed us that he had 14 (yes fourteen) separate firearms while wearing: A long sleeve shirt, Banana Republic photovest, blue jeans, and Danner boots. Of course it was to make a point, not a normal mode- and he did not sit down. This fellow is a tall, lean individual.

I don't recall the exact combination of firearms, but he had at least two 5"1911's in belt rigs, two commander-size pistols in an SOB NY reload rig, several Walthers including a TPH and two PPK's in high-mount shoulder rigs, a few pocket derringers including one built into a belt buckle (!), a J-frame, and I seem to recall an ASP 9MM and an HK PSP somewhere along the way.

More than 25 pounds of armament, none of which were obvious to a class of prospective sheepdogs.

With the exception of the J-frame these are notably flat pieces which makes a big difference.

I don't know if he could have drawn them in under 2 seconds or not, but do you remember the old John Bianchi ad where he had an un-Godly number of concealed pistols about his person? 35 or 45 pounds of iron, IIRC.

The most I ever concealed was 14 or so along with a few knives. Had another officer on the department frisk me, he stopped with the first gun found. He was a wee bit pale after I started disarming myself. He'd been real unpopular if he was taking me to the county jail. LOL

John Bianchi did this for an ad once.

He was wearing a white tux jacket as I recall, and black dress trousers, to look 007ish I guess. He was packing 2 dozen or so blasters with about every model of concealment rig he made at the time. Some were full size revos and autos, on down to Beretta Jetfires and the like. He used this ad campaign for a few years, I'm sure it had the desired effect, as he was a big muckity-muck in the holster biz in those days. Whether he could use ANY of them in 2 sec. or less I don't know, but I think he was kinda known for his draw speed in general.

Not just for the ad.
John did demos with assorted guns and dress.

I often carry two wheels, sometimes more.
For demos, a lot more.

Ankle rigs slow if you are standing.
Dedicated, velcro seamed, trouser legs help.

Really deep conceal is not for speed, tis for havin a gun after you were considered unarmed.

Record ?
Gonna be difficult to pin that one down.

Like Runt, I float when unarmed. Only 145 winter dressed and armed.

Sam

I usually CCW one gun. (work) Once in a great while I will have a backup (shopping, etc.).

When my job came out with its new no guns at work policy, (even if you have CCW you get fired) I carried 4 daily, just out of spite. One of them was a 6 inch 1917. :) Now I'm back to just my 1911.

Matrix style

All,

You need that holster set up Neo had in the Government building scene from the movie "the Matrix." You can carry more guns than you can shoot and do it in STYLE! :D

I know, it was a Hollywood moive. Totally unrealistic. Cool, but unrealistic.

I am still drooling over the May 15th 2003 release date for the next Matrix movie though. This weeks Newsweek magazine just made it worse with all of the great spoilers.

You have an excellent memory!

In the July 1993 issue of the infamous gunrag 'Guns & Ammo', John Bianchi was featured in an article on hideout holsters by Bill O'Brien.

As dressed in the aforementioned 007ish attire, he was concealing 32 guns total.

So he has runt beat by 22 guns. But I'm sure she can beat that.

Remember the scene in the movie I'm Gonna Get You Sucka where the big black dude straps on about 10 pistols and then falls, causing all of them to go off? I love that scene:)

If I remember correctly the State of Texas allows a CHL holder to carry up to 28 handgun.
I don't think there's any limit as long as each one is concealed. Why do you think there might have a limit?

AKAIK, that is an urban legend meant to impress non-Texans.

Personally, I would rather have a gun fight with someone who is loaded with a dozen guns than just one.

Can anybody even move with 28 guns strapped to their person? It must be a workout just to walk around the block.

No sense trying to shoot him, though. Odds are you'd just bounce off a gun...unless, of course, it was a ceramic Glock. :D

Yeah, but the jingle of his spurs was a dead giveaway.

I am having a flashback to when I used to make red baron's pizzas and stick em in a box.

A co-worker and I were discussing that book series called survivalist or whatever. I think john rouke was the main character. One of those after nuclear war book series.

Anyway, this co-worker dressed up with everything the main character used going into bad areas. A couple 1911s, a revolver or two, reloads galore, some rifle and who knows what else. I have not read the books recently.

This co-worked was a tall well built guy, we worked in shipping and stacked 40lb boxes all day. He said he could hardly move in a normal way let alone run and jump.

So my hat is off to those who can teach a class while standing and walking around wearing a lot of guns. Or do normal activities while concealing multiple stuff.

I don't worry about the record, I like the stories of those who did it in normal activities and were not noticed.

Couldn't be! A Texan would say the CHL is limited to no more than carrying 479 concealed guns at one time. Anybody can do 28.... :D
