I got a good one.

I went to a gun shop to return scope rings I had bought for my FAL, they weren't high enough and I wanted to have the store order higher ones.

The gun shop OWNER didn't believe me, claimed I had to be holding the rifle wrong.

So he picks up a bolt action rifle from behind the counter, and tells me to "point it at his nose"

I refused, several times before he stormed off in a huff - I had one of his assistants refund my money, and I've never been back there again.

It was not me, but i was in a gunshop in Pasadena and Customer #1 was telling Customer # 2 how much more powerful a .38 Special was than a 9MM because look how much bigger the case is and all. I guess the fact that a 9MM runs at more than twice
the pressure of a .38 special bears not in things.

"All of the gun magazines just raved about it!" Colt All-America 2000. Who knew the guy meant it would be a collector's item?

"You don't want to buy any of those Llamas, they are made in the Philippines, and who knows how high the quality really is"

So he leads me to buy a Charles Daly, made by Armscor, in the Philippines. Felt like a dummy believing every word he said... at least I like the gun.
