I have the opportunity to get a supposedly unfired CZ75B w/ both mags, (I've owned one before, they're awesome pistols) but I'd have to sell a pristine,low-miles, early gen3 Glock 17, w/ factory hardcase, lock, papers, and that has 4 factory mags, plus a factory 33-rd mag. It's also got a spare recoil spring assembly, and one of those little polymer beaver-tail units installed on it.
The G17 has just a few hundred rounds through it, of nearly everything commonly available, and it runs flawlessly, and is dead-nuts accurate.
This wouldn't be significantly improving or diminishing my hacienda-defense situation, it would just be an impulse buy, another cool toy to play with, so none of that stuff is a factor here.
On one hand, trading "just a Glock" for some fine Old World European steel is a no-brainer. On the other hand, I have a clean,solid,well-proven performer, with several extra mags, that I'd be trading for an unkown entity, that would require a few hundred break-in rounds, right off the bat.
I just listed the Glock, at the same $500 the CZ would run me, and have a guy saying he wants to drive down this weekend (which of course, means nothing) , but I'd kinda need to scrape, beg and borrow the cash for the CZ like, by tomorrow, and hope the G17 moves in less than a few months.
This is currently my only Glock, and i DO like the pistol, a lot (but we're talking about another really sweet pistol here...)
Wadda ya think, should I stand pat with the known entity, or spin the wheel and go with what's behind door #3 (to mix some metaphors there ).
