With the AR frenzy going on, I recently sold a Daniel Defense AR tricked out with an Aimpoint and all the Magpul gear you could get. Plus a few hundred rounds of ammo.

The money I made replaced the fence in my yard and bought me a Kimber Custom II. I shoot pistol more than I do rifle so it was a good deal for me.

sure, I bought a nice 30-30 winchester at a yard sale. Guy wanted a 30-30 and had a AK for sale. this was before the madness, but AK's are easier to sell than lever guns around here and for more money. So I traded. Not that AK but another I had picked up in trade, since the madness started I figure Ak's are more popular, Ive always wanted a broomhandle mauser C96. Threw the ak out for trade and came up with a mixmatched C96, its not original but it shoots and I didnt have much into the AK I traded. My rock island 1911 came from me buying a tokarev at a swap meet for 125 bucks, My brother in law wanted a pistol for the house, and someone owed him so he got a 11-87 shotgun that he didnt want. So we traded (I told him the 11-87 was worth more but he didnt care). I had no use for a shotgun, and threw it out for trade and came up with a 1911

I have "my" rifles I'll never sell, but they were purchased with that in mind. I also have a group that I didn't really want but I got a great deal on to use them for trading leverage down the road for something I'll never sell

just listed a egyptian AK parts kit for sale to pay to have my PSL kit built by ironclad armory. jim

Been there, done that - got the Tee shirt!
But only VERY rarely and ONLY something I don't like that much or shoot as much as I thought I would.
