Agreed, a snub nose is generally regarded as anything up to and including 2.5 inches of barrel length. And I am talking about the 4-inch model 327 MAG SP101 here, namely that it could go out of production at any moment to make a run of the 3-inch version. :evil:

:eek: I am hoping Ruger makes a few batches so the prices drop, I'm already feeling like I should just pay the 600 bucks and get one now.
 
I would go ahead and get one. I normally shop and even pay cash to save the 3%. This time I didn't even wait for the mail to get a money order to the dealer. I paid the extra three percent and was glad to do it.

Other than a few dollars, the only thing you gain by waiting is to see if they start doing a better job on the metal work. You might lose though. I bought my GP100 as soon as I heard about the .327. Next thing I knew, my $600 carry piece was selling for up toward $1500.
