Trade it on a cheaper gun or a gun of roughly equivalent value and you'll probably get no more than half the price of the gun you're trading for. For argument's sake, let's just say the gun you want goes for $400. You'll likely get no more than $200 trade-in on your gun. Matters not a bit that your gun is 99.9%. Now, I recently sold an XD9 for what I had in it on consignment. I bought the gun used for $350, decided after a few range sessions it wasn't me then put it on consignment for $375. Took about 2 weeks for it to sell. I had to pay 10% to the shop owner, so I probably lost a little on this. These things typically go for $440 new around here, so for a pristine example, I would think $375 would be fair for a consignment or sell outright. If you sell outright, you might price it at $400 and see how goes. You might get a taker at that, particularly if you have factory high caps with the gun (if not, you probably won't generate a whole lot of interest in the gun at $400).
The only time I ever got my money out of a gun was when I traded a Golan I had bought used, but like new, for $250 for $250 credit a new S&W SW99 Compact. Probably never happen again.
