Another new gun!

First I went to the store, dead set on getting a CZ P-01 in OD Green. I liked it and thinking to myself, it is very similar to what I have. I asked the guy behind the counter what else should I look at. He is a big Glock fan, so he convinced me to go test drive a Gen 4 model 17. I went to a range and waited for some time. Put 50 rounds through the rental and it shot good, but it didn't agree with my hand. It hurt and I couldn't shoot many rounds if I owned. So, I had many chores to do yesterday, but I made back to the store, just as it was closing!

Sticking with my gut!



So, this was the most grease preserved gun I've seen. I'm guessing the OD Green isn't as popular. I broke it down and degreased it. Took some pics for fun. The Kadet fits just as tight as it does on the SP-01. Now that I have 2 guns I want to start my CGW mods. Think I might mod the P-01 first so I can start training on it for carry.

Thanks for the nudge everyone. So I still need that PCR for formal occasions and the SS for....I can't remember!
I don't think they make a SS in decocker do they?

Congratulations on the latest CZ! I see your case of CZitis is alive and well.

I almost bought the OD Green P-01 but lost my nerve at the last minute and went with the regular finish. Yours looks good.

Definitely a good day. About 3 weeks ago my local gun store had an SP01. It was the middle of the week and I was looking for a specific powder. I went back Saturday to find it had been sold.

I hear you. I got the email notification on my SP-01 and I called 2 min later and got it. Paid on phone. I to store 2 hours later and they were sold out!

I hear you, but I guess they have a CZ nut there too that helped me discover the brand better. I try not to be swayed easily but like options. The glock shot well, just hurt my hand.

I've bought milsurps so I'll bet I've seen more grease (cosmoline).

I did not know they came in green. Normally I dislike the green/od or earth but this one looks really nice, even with the black Kadet.

Way to go! I remember passing on a CZ in OD Green probably because it just looked too different for me at the time! Great CZ collection you've got going there; maybe some extra room in the safe for a PCR and a high polished CZ 75 B as well!
