I ordered a Ruger LCP from Top Glock in February and it came in yesterday. I took it to the range today. From all the bad reviews I've been reading here and elsewhere online, I almost expected it to fail as soon as I pulled the trigger. I fired 100 rounds of Magtech 95gr FMC, 20 rounds of Winchester Supreme 90gr SXT JHP, and 25 rounds of Hornady 95gr XTP JHP. I had 1 malfunction, with the Magtech FMC, when the round chambered, but the slide did not go all the way forward, could be easily corrected with a tap on the back of the slide.

Suprisingly, the recoil was less than that of my PPK. It took me about 4 magazines to get used to the trigger, after that I was mostly hitting the 10 ring at 15 yards. I noticed no unusual wear while cleaning after shooting.

IMHO, it's a keeper. ;)

I'm thinking I'm gonna have one of those if I can find one.......what is MSRP, and how much are they discounting them (if any?)

One mag or two? And what do they hold, six or seven?

Papajohn

Mine was right at $300 after shipping and FFL fee. It came with one mag (made in Italy), one soft case (made in Thailand) and one chinese lock.

I had a chance to get one from my local gunshop back when they first came out....i just happened to be there browsing at stuff when they got it in and was the first customer to handle it. I passed on buying it but now kinda regret that decision

Here is my second range report for this gun. I fired 50 rounds of Remington UMC with no problems, 50 rounds of Magtech FMJ with no problems, and 25 rounds of A-merc JHP :scrutiny: with 2 FTF and 2 FTE.

I tend to blame the A-merc ammo for the malfunctions as I have fired Winchester and Hornady JHP's with no problems.

I'm still happy with this gun. :D

A-MERC is still around? I can easily believe those failures with it were ammo related. Although this was some time ago, a box I shot up had seemingly no two cartridges with like recoil or report, and one cartridge had its primer upside down.

a-merc ammo

never heard anything good about that brand. Good ammo normaly produces good results, as you have found out with the other brands you have tried.. Crappy ammo normally doesn't work reliably in any gun..

A-merc is pretty bad. I bought a bunch of it a while back and the 25 rounds I shot today was the last of it. I shot some 38 super and 30 carbine A-merc before with no malfunctions, but when I was sweeping up the brass I noticed a lot of the cases were split. :what:
