Your Bullseye substitute for 45/38 SWC/HBWC target shooting?

I still have a pound of Bullseye left. I could have bought more recently but it is crazy priced. I decided to load up some 38 and +p38 using 231. Shoots rather nice I should say and I can get 231/HP38 for a lot less. I see no reason not to stick with 231/HP38 especially when they are easy to find.

For 45 and 38 target I like BE, but yes, presently very hard to get.
I also like RD, HP38, Universal, unique, and Nitro 100.
Nitro 100 is one of the most accurate 45 acp powders I ever shot.

I’m not a competitive bullseye shooter but I like to shoot target loads.

Any way, I’ve been working with AA#2 in my Gold Cup. I’ve been using W232/HP-38 in my 38 Special wadcutter loads.

My experience with TiteGroup has benn pour. To keep bullets from being stuck in the barrel, and I stuck a fee, I had to up the charge of TiteGroup over the listed data max so that the ullet would not stick in a 6” barrel revolver.

TiteGroup is off my list of usable powders.

I have not tried any Vitiavouri (spelling?) or BE-86 so no comment.

I used Bullseye many years ago. Maybe I need to use again.

And yes, it would be the .45 acp target loads at fifty yards I'm interested in. Although I'm disheartened the CCI plastic box standard velocity .22 LR doesn't seem to be what it once was. Likely I'll be asking what y'all all are using at the 50 yard line for that as well. Budget doesn't allow TenX:)

Looks like Titegroup, Clays, AA2, and N310 are the ones to consider.

50 yards is different. Bullseye and N310 are the proven components if you're shooting for high score at 50 yards with the 45 auto. Not saying it can't be done but just depends where you want to spend your time.

Eley Club and SK pistol match have been very reliable for me

To amend my previous statement. if Accuracy and use of the same powder between the two is the top. In the same low charge weight as Bullseye. My List would be in the following order:
Clays
N310/320
Red Dot
Ramshot Compeition
WST
AA#2

Having used all but #2 (which is why it is at the bottom of my personal list) I have found loads with each of those powders in 45acp that are as good or very close to Bullseye, that it is really down to me on any particular day to shoot as well.

Along with that I will say that 310/320 and clays left the least amount of residue on things. Also an interesting note. Clays, 310,red dot, and competition all hit a sweet spot right where BE is. 4 grains.
