Just wondering what the works best for you. I am shooting a Sig 1911 Nightmare Fastback. Bullets tested is RMR 147gr JFN. So far my gun seems to favor HS-6, Universal, Power Pistol, and 800x, in that order. Did not like Tite Group or Unique. The RMR 124gr JFN bullets did best with 800x and oddly, Unique. I've decided the Berry's 124gr RN bullets are not suited well for this caliber, and accuracy sucked. Haven't tried any other bullets.

Just thinking out loud but how would Longshot do? If a person were pushing 9mm to the moon, you run out of case volume. With the case volume of a 357Sig, it might be a good fit. Hodgdon’s load data looks promising.

If you’re searching purely for velocity, I would look at Hartkopf’s recommendation.

For a clean burning powder I would recommend you try Silhouette.

For accuracy with the RMR 147gr bullet, I like CFE Pistol:

I also can't explain it, but the 124gr RMR MW bullet is very accurate with Unique:
357sig, P229, 3.9"
Case: Speer
COL: 1.140"
RMR, 124gr, TCFPMW, Unique, 7.1gr, CCI500

I've decided the Berry's 124gr RN bullets are not suited well for this caliber, and accuracy sucked.

RN bullets normally does not work in 357sig. Hopefully you are doing your due diligence by loading dummy rounds first, doing a plunk test, and test for setback. Also at least verify that the bullet ogive is outside/above the case neck.

The only Berry's plated bullet that worked ok for me was the 9mm 124gr Hollow Base Flat Point Thick Plate bullet. For plated bullets you always have to make sure your velocities stay below the max for the plated bullets. Normally 147gr plated bullets are better since you have lower velocities.

I shoot sig from a 1911 as well, mine being a ruger sr1911 with a fusion 5" barrel. I throated my barrel to take advantage of the longer 10mm mag length and be able to run the heavier bullets seated out to 1.275" COL. For lighter bullets (125g and less) I like power pistol best but aa9 does very well, with heavy bullets (up to 180g) blue dot and 2400 have done very well. Plated bullets have not performed well for me in the sig so I stick with jacketed or hard cast.

Never done a plunk test, at least not on this gun, did on my Sig 229. Did do all the rest, did take a bit of fiddle to get the dies all set up good.
